    William Summs, President and CEO of Atlantic Asset & Management Group, is an aggressive, experienced professional in the auction and liquidation business. He is highly motivated to obtain the maximum cash return for each client, concentrating on and implementing a custom-made asset recovery plan for the client he serves. He applies an enthusiastic approach, employing his extensive management and marketing expertise, to achieve the best financial results for his clients. William J. Summs has vested himself in the auction industry and has successfully completed the highest level of the auction Industries designation at the Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) Additionally he has successfully completed the following National Auction certifications, Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) Certified Estate Specialist (CES) Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) Benefit Auction Specialist (BAS) Mr. Summs is a licensed auctioneer, independent automobile principal dealer and a licensed yacht broker in the State of Virginia. Mr. Summs successfully managed and operated a full service Vehicle Heavy Hauling, Private Property / Municipal Vehicle Towing, Recovery & Storage / Public Auto Auction from 1979 to 1998 when he sold those divisions of Atlantic Asset Management, Inc. to a National Consolidation Concern from Dallas, TX. Atlantic Asset Management Group retained its general auction division which continues servicing clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States.

    Since 1979, Mr. Summs has produced, orchestrated and conducted various types of asset recovery auctions throughout Virginia. His activities have placed heavy emphasis on accelerated marketing events, working closely with private sellers, secured creditors, federal and state trustees and has established himself as an expert in auction remarketing and asset appraisals by the United States Bankruptcy Court , FDIC, United States Marshal Service, Drug Enforcement Agency, Homeland Security and the IRS. Mr. Summs has been appointed as the past Auctioneer for the City of Norfolk, VA, James City County, VA, Accomack County, VA. As a licensed auctioneer in several states, Mr. Summs personally conducts many of the auctions that Atlantic Asset Management Group is called upon to handle. These include sales of individual and multi-property residential, retail and commercial real estate (both developed and undeveloped), business asset liquidations, heavy equipment and surplus vehicles. Mr. Summs is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, The Virginia Auctioneers Association, The North Carolina Auctioneers Association, The Florida Auctioneers Association, The Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers Association, The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, The Hampton Roads Commercial Real Estate Association & the BBB.

    Serving as Atlantic Asset Management Group’s Office & Auction Administrator, Becki handles the front desk, purchasing, coordinating of reports, researching and lotting, and serves as the lead clerk for all auctions.

    Becki has been with our company for over nine years and is a “jack of all trades”, having a great knowledge of the auction business. She is a key presence at auctions, on location, clerking and reporting. Becki enjoys spending time with her family in her off-time as well as being an accomplished dance instructor.



    Tom Mills

    Mr. Mills is a retail merchandising and operations professional with a distinguished list of accomplishments. His positions successfully held include Divisional Merchandise Manager, Merchandise Program Manager, and Vice President of Merchandising for 3 of the nation’s top 10 largest retailers. Additionally Mr. Mills served as President and Chief Operating Officer of a multi-million dollar privately held company.

    Tom directly participated in several events that have redefined the method by which many consumer products are marketed in this country. That participation includes managing the first ever freestanding Circuit City store, direct involvement in the initial stages of the office superstore industry, serving as an integral member of the executive management team at Best Buy that forever altered the consumer electronics industry and managing the process to evolve Dollar Tree Stores into larger store formats that solidified the company’s position as the largest single price point retailer in the world.



    Jim Beverly

    Mr. Beverly brings over 25 years of commercial real estate brokerage services to AAMG. He attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA and earned his degree in Psychology. Jim has been involved in many aspects of real estate, such buying, selling, developing, managing, leasing, financial consulting and asset management.

    Over his successful career Jim has specialized in solving complex real estate issues with win-win results. He has been involved with many diverse real estate projects, such as: Nursing Homes, Shopping Centers, Land Assemblage for Residential Development, Office/Warehouse Development and Management, Apartment Buildings, Local Site Selection for National Gas Company, Mobile Home Parks, Historic Sites, Office Buildings and other real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development and management.

    Jim has represented various property owners concerning re-zonings, conditional use permits and other issues that require detailed and comprehensive presentation to local city staff, planning commissions and city councils. Jim’s success has resulted in hundreds of new homes and businesses being built and established throughout Hampton Roads.

    Jim’s reputation of hard work, fairness and knowledge has contributed to his success in the real estate industry.



    Catherine Holden

    Ms. Holden has over twelve years experience in project management. Catherine is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, in Media Arts and Design. Catherine is also a certified Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has extensive experience in U.S. Trustee matters, marketing, advertising, and business development and sales. She has demonstrated meticulous attention to detail throughout her career. Ms. Holden enjoys gardening, activities with her church, and spending time with her family.

    Mr. Pap is in charge of cash handling merchandising and sales. Michael has over eight years experience in management and specializes in systems inventory. Mr. Pap has won numerous of customer service awards and is currently pursuing an associate of applied science degree majoring in modeling and simulation.

     



    Sandra Jackson

    Ms. Jackson brings over sixteen years experience in accounting. She holds two Associate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. She is well versed in financial reporting and stays abreast of ever-present changes in the banking and finance industries. Sandra is also a certified Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ms. Jackson loves music and spending time with husband and two children.

     


    Tommy Richardson

    Mr. Richardson has more than 30 years of corporate managerial, banking and economic development experience. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Marketing and has attended the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
    As an Assistant Vice-President for a local bank he was instrumental in forming the dealer/consumer loan division and the special assets department. Additionally, he has held officer positions at several regional and national banks. As Marketing Manager for the Portsmouth Department of Economic Development he was instrumental in attracting and managing the Maersk APM Terminals project. He continues to act as a consultant to the maritime industry.


    Mallory Hildebrand

    Ms. Hildebrand, originally from Denver, Colorado, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Colorado University. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Liberal Arts from Westerns Governors University. Mallory now resides in Norfolk, Virginia with her husband and daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and working in the Marketing Industry.

    Mr. Overman brings with him 20 years of experience in the Automotive and Recreational Vehicle Industries to Atlantic Auto and Truck Sales. Prior to joining AATS, Dana owned and operated Bluewater Motors in North Carolina and served as the General Manager of Dodd RV. Additionally, he has experience as a Finance Manager, Wholesale Manager and Used Car Sales Manager. His commitment to customer service and friendly, out-going personality have enabled him to build a strong network of customers that continue to buy vehicles for second and third generations. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, Haven (4) and Harper (15mo). Dana watches sports any chance he gets and especially follows golf, the Washington Redskins and the UNC Tarheels. He also likes being outdoors, playing golf, hunting and working in the yard. Dana loves meeting new people and turning strangers into friends.


    John Curtice

    Mr. Curtice has over nine years of experience in professional car sales. He is a highly motivated sales manager with extensive customer service and sales experience. His dedication to customer service has earned him a strong network base of clients that continue to buy vehicles from him time and time again. John is a former professional athlete as a first round draft pick for the Boston Red Sox. He enjoys spending his free time with his fabulous wife and two children, Riley (6) and John (3). When he’s not home with his family you are sure to find him on the softball field. John’s competitive nature ensures his customers that they are receiving the best possible deal in town. Go Terps!



    Kandace Tyler

    Mrs. Tyler has over eight years experience as an Office Manager and is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She has previous experience in advertising and graphic design. She is known for designing the logo for the Virginia Musical theatre production of “Damn Yankees” and also the cover page of the brochure for the Fatal Accident Crash team for the Virginia Beach Police Department while completing the advertising design program at Virginia Beach tech center. Mrs. Tyler is also a certified Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Kandace enjoys Dirt track stock car racing with her family during the summer months; specializing in designing, painting, and body repair work to the racecars.



    Josh Mills

    Josh graduated from the esteemed McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia where he received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a track in Entrepreneurship and concentrations in both Business Management & Marketing. While in school, he worked as an intern for AREVA NP's, a global nuclear provider, nuclear plant development division creating work breakdown structures for new plant development & construction. Following graduation in May of 2010, Josh briefly worked as a licensed Mortgage Consultant before joining us here at AAMG.



    Danielle Harrison

    Ms. Harrison has over 10 years experience in customer service in retail and storage facility settings. She is a native to Hampton Roads and graduated from Maury High School in Norfolk, VA. She earned her Associates Degree in Business with a concentration in management from Centura College in 2009. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She also holds certifications in Landscaping and Retail Sales. In her spare time, Danielle enjoys shopping, traveling, dining out and spending time with family in Washington, DC.
